Eurotunnel Network Statements

Directive 2001/14/EC (European Parliament and the Council of 26 February 2001 on the allocation of railway infrastructure capacity and the levying of charges for the use of railway infrastructure and safety certification) requires infrastructure managers to publish annually, and to keep up to date, a network statement “which sets out in detail the general rules, deadlines, procedures and criteria concerning the charging and capacity allocation schemes. It shall also contain such other information as is required to enable application for infrastructure capacity” (Directive 2001/14, art 2(j) and 3 – the content of the network statement is set out in annex I).

By letter of 30 May 2014, the IGC welcomed Eurotunnel’s proposed extension of its freight discount initiative (“ETICA”), and other discounts on its freight charges within its Network Statement for 2015 to encourage the use of the infrastructure at times when it is underutilised. The IGC also reserved its right to continue identifying and recommending further improvements to the descriptions of its terms of access

In a letter dated 15 November 2009, Eurotunnel sent the IGC its draft Network Statement for the Fixed Link applicable to the timetables for 2010 and 2011.

The IGC gave its opinion in the attached letter dated 7 December 2009.

On 12 November 2010 Eurotunnel sent the IGC its draft Network Statement applicable to the timetable for 2012.

In a letter dated 8 November 2011, Eurotunnel sent the IGC its draft Network Statement applicable to the timetable for 2013.

The IGC gave its opinion in the attached letter dated 9 December 2011.
